Hi everyone! I want to tell you about a great ebook to read for the summer! If you like intrigue, suspense, humor, love, romance, did I say suspense....? This book has it all!









In The Manor of The Ghost by Tina Pinson is a wonderful ebook. I read this one on my Kindle for PC. I started it yesterday morning and finished it last night. Not because it's a short book, but because it was so good I couldn't stop reading it! I probably would have finished it sooner, but I did have to go somewhere with my husband! 


The story will keep you riveted to your Kindle. Tina's characters are truly wonderful and full of life. Kaitlan and Devlan are made for each other, though they don't know it and Devlan's little boy Derrick will make you want to reach out and bundle him in your arms. 


The Ghost will surprise you as it did me. And the intrigue will definitely having you turning the next page just to see what happens next. I don't want to go into any details, other than to say.... well..... nope, I can't say! 


I will say Tina writes in a beautiful manner and that is truly seen by the love of Christ expressed from her main character, Kaitlan. You will find each one of her characters are just like you and me, not perfect, flawed, with strengths and weaknesses, but loved by God, all the same.

The Witness by Josh McDowell

After having read this book twice now, all I can say is Wow! What a novel! I enjoy a good action-packed book and this is definitely an action-packed book! 
Here is the first page:

Josh McDowell, the author of many books including "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" and "More Than a Carpenter" has stepped into the genre of fast-paced, action filled fiction. If you are someone who enjoys writers such as Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancey, Brad Meltzer or David Baldacci, then you will really enjoy reading this book by Josh McDowell.


Marwan Accad is in the security business. He protects his wealthy clients in many ways, including rescuing wives being held for hostage. That is until his recent client is gunned down in front of him and he barely escapes with his own life intact.


During the time of trying to find out who is trying to kill him and why, Marwan meets a young woman, Dalia Nour, in Cairo. It's here in Cairo, while he is getting to know Dalia that he begins to face a truth that will change his life forever.


This is a wonderfully fast-action book that will leave you more than satisfied. Josh McDowell is a superb writer and his characters come alive and you find yourself totally immersed in the story. 


Having read his "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" and "More Than A Carpenter," I wasn't disappointed in how Mr. McDowell brought out the gospel message. Threaded throughout the story is basic apologetics and it's presented in a believable way. It was just a "part" of the storyline.


Since I don't want to give away too much of the story, I suggest you get a copy of it for yourself. You really won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.

Love On A Dime by Cara Lynn James

I want to share with you about this wonderful book. But first let me tell you a little about the author, Cara Lynn James. 


She is a debut novelist who has won numerous contest awards from Romance Writers of America and American Christian Fiction Writers. She resides in Florida with her husband.


Now for those of you, who like me, are novice writers, that should give you some hope! Keep entering those writing contests! I know I am!

About the story....


Lilly Westbrook, as we read, writes dime novels during a time when it was unheard of for a lady, be she young or old, to do any type of "work" if she was of the "rich and famous" set. It was all right to pen poetry for personal pleasure. But to actually write, make money from it, and write dime novels.... well if the upper echelon mommas knew, Lilly and her whole family would be ostracized for life. 


Then to make matters worse, Lilly's old boyfriend, Jackson Grail, is back. As the owner of the publishing company who publishes her stories! 


Jackson left the area many years ago to earn his fortune and become a man with standing in the society that Lilly was a member of. He also wants to make things right with Lilly. (Can't say much more than that!)


Cara did wonderful work in bringing to life these two main characters. Both Lilly and Jackson have struggles with faith, trust (each other and God) and through adversity they begin to overcome them. 


Sometimes in real life we allow the opinions of others to dictate our actions and way of life. Cara brings this very thing in the lives of Lilly and Jackson and shows us what is more important.


I can't say too much more than that. But I will say, once you have read this story, you will walk away knowing you have not only read a well-written book, but encouraged in your faith in God, no matter what your circumstance may be.
